An annoyed Egret by Stan Sykora
|
This young heron chap was hunting for fish an' frogs in the shallow waters of a branch of Ticino river, until I and my wife went by and disturbed him. He flew up, perched on a robinia tree, and watched us vigilantly until we got out of sight. In the enlargement his worried annoyance is quite evident.
Common and latin names: Little Egret (Egretta garzetta).
Ticino River, close to Nosate, Lombardy (North Italy), July 2009
