Imagine spending a few years in this prison cell? Or a life sentence!

The medieval castle Perstein (also known as Pernštejn or Pernštýn) is located a short drive north from the town of Brno in south Moravia, the eastern region of Czech Republic. It is an interesting castle since, though well preserved, it has not been too modernized. As the detail of its outside walls testifies, it maintains the medieval atmosphere underlined by raw masonry and original design (for a striking overall view, see the above link).
