Sub-titled Limb lost, Wisdom gained, this is the closing slide of a talk I had at a Black Forest Workshop (BFF6) organized by the FRIAS Institute in Freiburg, Germany. Since I was talking, among other things, about the uncertainties of quantum mechanics, I have concocted this poem to accompany the nice photo of our three-legged cat Birillo. It refers to Erwin Schrödinger, one of the fathers of quantum mechanics, and his famous Schrödinger's cat paradox by which a cat in a box is in an undefined, entagled, quantum state until actually observed. The reference to a quantum foam is a jibe at yet another controversial quantum physics topic.
