A strange thing I saw today:
A snake ten feet long fighting its own tail!
Its teeth would snap and clamp and tear
yet the tail would not stay still.
Thin coils wound tightly round the neck,
eyes popping, void of breath.
I did not wait to see who would win,
I fled in terror, my courage wearing thin.
